Dubai Leads Record Delegation to World Travel Market London 2025

London: Dubai is set to make a major impact at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, leading its largest-ever delegation of 71 partners and stakeholders to promote the emirate’s diverse, innovative, and sustainable tourism offerings.

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) announced that this year’s participation — up from 62 partners in 2024 — underscores Dubai’s expanding influence in global travel and aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to position Dubai among the world’s top three urban economies and premier tourism destinations for both business and leisure.

Strengthening Global Tourism Leadership

The delegation includes major players across Dubai’s tourism ecosystem — airlines, hotels, attractions, tour operators, and destination management companies — showcasing the emirate’s strength as a global travel hub.

Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), said:

“Our presence at World Travel Market reinforces Dubai’s commitment to a resilient, accessible, and sustainable model of tourism growth — one built on collaboration, innovation, and shared opportunity.”

Kazim added that Dubai’s growing partnerships between the public and private sectors are key to attracting new audiences and strengthening ties with global travel markets.

WTM London: A Global Tourism Platform

Organised by RX Global, WTM London is one of the world’s premier travel trade events, attracting over 4,000 exhibitors and thousands of senior decision-makers and travel experts.

For Dubai, the event serves as a key platform to:

Strengthen partnerships with global industry leaders.

Forge new alliances in key source markets.

Promote the emirate’s investment opportunities in sustainable and innovative tourism.

The UK and Ireland remain among Dubai’s top visitor markets, contributing significantly to its continued tourism growth.

Strong Tourism Performance

From January to September 2025, Dubai welcomed 13.95 million international overnight visitors, marking a 5% increase year-on-year. Western Europe, led by the UK and Ireland, accounted for 21% (2.87 million visitors) of total arrivals — reaffirming the region’s importance to Dubai’s tourism strategy.

This growth follows consecutive record-breaking years in 2023 and 2024, highlighting Dubai’s consistent global appeal and effective tourism policies.

Embracing Innovation and Sustainability

Kazim noted that WTM London provides a valuable platform for Dubai to explore emerging travel trends, AI integration, and sustainable tourism practices:

“We aim to set the benchmark for excellence in global tourism by embracing innovation and sustainability, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of visitors and residents alike.”

Dubai’s participation also aligns with its eco-conscious tourism agenda, showcasing:

Green hospitality initiatives

Smart city infrastructure

Future-ready tourism investment projects

These reflect Dubai’s long-term vision of responsible tourism that balances economic growth with environmental stewardship.

Global Engagement Strategy

Participation at WTM London complements Dubai’s broader global tourism calendar, including hosting the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) — the Middle East’s largest travel exhibition. Together, these events reinforce Dubai’s strategy of building strong international partnerships, brand visibility, and sustainable tourism leadership.

Summary

Dubai’s record-breaking presence at WTM London 2025 demonstrates its growing global stature as a hub of innovation, investment, and sustainable tourism. With a united delegation of public and private sector leaders, the emirate continues to set benchmarks in global travel excellence while driving forward its D33 vision for inclusive and sustainable growth.
