<p><strong>UAE Showcases Global Sustainability Leadership at UN HLPF 2025</strong></p><p>The United Arab Emirates reaffirmed its commitment to global sustainability at the <strong>UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2025</strong> in New York, where it unveiled innovative models for sustainable development and announced preparations for its <strong>2026 Voluntary National Review (VNR)</strong>.</p><p>The UAE delegation, comprising senior officials from major ministries and organisations, presented pioneering initiatives including the <strong>2045 XDGs Report</strong> and the <strong>Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP)</strong>. These initiatives underscore the UAE’s collaborative approach to addressing global challenges in health, economic development, climate action, and biodiversity.</p><p><strong>Abdulla Nasser Lootah</strong>, Chair of the National Committee on SDGs, highlighted the importance of <strong>transparency and cross-sector collaboration</strong>, stressing the UAE’s commitment to monitoring SDG progress while shaping a post-2030 development agenda. He also confirmed that the UAE will <strong>host the UN Water Conference in December 2026</strong>, cementing its role as a global hub for sustainability dialogue.</p><h3>Expanding Global Partnerships</h3><p>The UAE launched several high-profile engagements during the forum:</p><p><strong>“Shaping Tomorrow: UAE Leadership for a Sustainable Future” exhibition</strong></p><p>A special <strong>GEEP session</strong> that expanded partnerships to nearly <strong>50 countries</strong></p><p>Sessions on <strong>gender balance, child welfare, and economic diplomacy</strong></p><p>In addition, the <strong>Ministry of Interior’s Green Shield Operation</strong>—aimed at protecting biodiversity in the <strong>Amazon Basin</strong>—was showcased as an example of the UAE’s innovative environmental action.</p><h3>Active Global Engagement</h3><p>Throughout the forum, the UAE conducted <strong>48 bilateral meetings</strong>, reinforcing its active role in promoting sustainable and inclusive global progress through <strong>knowledge sharing, innovation, and international cooperation</strong>.</p>
