The country highlighted its collaborative approach to tackling global challenges in areas including health, economic development, climate action, and biodiversity. Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Chair of the National Committee on SDGs, stressed the importance of transparency and cross-sector cooperation, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to tracking SDG progress and setting priorities for a post-2030 agenda. He also confirmed that the UAE will host the UN Water Conference in December 2026, further strengthening its global leadership in sustainability. The UAE also launched high-profile engagements, including the “Shaping Tomorrow: UAE Leadership for a Sustainable Future” exhibition and a special GEEP session that expanded partnerships to nearly 50 countries. The UAE’s participation featured sessions on gender balance, child welfare, and economic diplomacy, as well as innovative initiatives like the Ministry of Interior’s Green Shield Operation protecting biodiversity in the Amazon Basin. In total, the UAE conducted 48 bilateral meetings, reinforcing its active role in shaping sustainable and inclusive global progress through knowledge sharing, innovation, and international cooperation.
