Public Sector Workers in UAE to Get Eid Al Adha 2026 Holidays

The United Arab Emirates government has officially announced the Eid Al Adha 2026 holiday schedule for public sector employees across the country. The holidays will allow government workers to celebrate one of the most important Islamic festivals with family and loved ones.

According to the announcement, public sector employees in the UAE will receive multiple days off during Eid Al Adha celebrations. Government offices and departments are expected to remain closed throughout the official holiday period, while essential services will continue operating as usual.

Eid Al Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is observed by Muslims worldwide and marks the spirit of devotion, charity, and togetherness. The holiday is celebrated with special prayers, family gatherings, and charitable activities.

Authorities are also expected to announce separate holiday schedules for private sector employees soon. Residents across the UAE are preparing for travel, festive shopping, and family celebrations during the long holiday break.

The official dates may vary slightly depending on the moon sighting and Islamic calendar confirmation.
