From carrying government files as a boy to a government that carries the burden: TAMM’s AI-Native vision
Abu Dhabi’s government services platform TAMM is working towards an AI-native model in which the government takes on more of the work involved in accessing public services.
Dr Mohamed Al Askar, Director General of TAMM, described the shift from traditional paper-based government processes to a system where technology can anticipate and respond to citizens’ needs.
TAMM currently brings more than 1,200 services into one experience, with a reported customer satisfaction rate of 94.5 per cent. Abu Dhabi aims to become the world’s first AI-native government by 2027.
Al Askar said the goal is not simply to put services online, but to make them easier to access and allow technology to handle more of the complexity on behalf of residents. He also stressed the importance of maintaining human judgement and responsibility as governments adopt AI.
The vision focuses on giving people more time by reducing the need to navigate complicated government procedures themselves.
