UAE Heatwave Intensifies: Temperatures Soar, Authorities Warn Residents
UAE residents are urged to take precautions as extreme heat persists, especially in Abu Dhabi and interior regions. According to AccuWeather, Dubai will see a high of 42°C today, dropping to 35°C overnight with partly cloudy skies. Abu Dhabi faces even more severe conditions, with daytime temperatures reaching 45°C and overnight lows around 34°C.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy skies nationwide, with a chance of rain from convective clouds forming in eastern regions this afternoon. Interior areas will experience highs between 44°C and 49°C, while coastal and island regions will see 40°C–45°C. Mountainous zones remain slightly cooler at 34°C–39°C. The highest temperature on Monday was 48.7°C in Mezaira, Al Dhafra.
Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally gusting up to 40 km/h, potentially raising dust in open areas. Seas remain calm with slight waves in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. Authorities strongly advise residents to stay indoors and avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the peak heat.
