Dubai, UAE – With the Asia Cup 2025 showdown between India and Pakistan just around the corner, Dubai authorities are stepping up security measures to ensure a safe and orderly event at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The Dubai Police and Events Security Committee (ESC) have issued a comprehensive advisory urging fans to follow stadium rules, respect protocols, and uphold the UAE’s reputation as a premier sporting destination.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police and Chairman of the ESC, confirmed that specialized security teams are fully deployed for the tournament. He stressed that the safety of players, officials, and spectators is the top priority, and any disruptive behavior will result in immediate legal action.
“The UAE is known for hosting world-class sporting events. We expect every fan to reflect sportsmanship and discipline inside the stadium,” Al Mazrouei said.
Security personnel will be visible at all entry points, inside the stadium, and in surrounding areas to manage crowd movement and traffic flow.
Strict Legal Penalties for Violations
Dubai Police reminded spectators that violations fall under the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events, with strict punishments:
Unauthorized pitch entry or banned items: 1–3 months imprisonment and fines from Dh5,000 to Dh30,000.
Acts of violence, throwing objects, or abusive/racist language: Jail terms plus fines between Dh10,000 and Dh30,000.
Authorities emphasized that these measures are crucial for protecting lives and maintaining order, ensuring the match remains safe for all attendees.
Banned Items at the Stadium
To prevent risks, fans are prohibited from bringing:
Fireworks, flammable substances, and sharp objects
Toxic substances and glass items
Large cameras, selfie sticks, lasers, and drones
Umbrellas, obstructive flags, or banners
Pets, bicycles, scooters, and skateboards
These restrictions are standard for major international events and designed to safeguard both spectators and participants.
Key Instructions for Fans
Arrive at least three hours before kickoff to avoid congestion
Enter once per ticket; re-entry is not allowed
Ensure ticket validity before heading to the venue
Follow all instructions from stadium staff and security checks
Avoid random parking; traffic diversions and official parking info will be shared
