Nissan Recalls 1,661 Patrol SUVs in UAE Over Torque Transfer Defect
Nissan has launched a recall campaign in the UAE affecting 1,661 Patrol “Y63” 2025 models due to a defect in the torque transfer control unit that may cause sudden propulsion loss.
UAE Recall: 1,661 Nissan Patrol Y63 SUVs for Torque Control Defect
Nissan Motor Co., in coordination with the UAE Ministry of Economy’s Competition and Consumer Protection Department, has recalled 1,661 Nissan Patrol Y63 (2025 models) over a defect in the torque transfer control unit that could cause sudden loss of propulsion.
Nature of the Problem
Nissan reports that under certain accelerator inputs, the torque transfer software may distribute power incorrectly between the front and rear axles, causing the vehicle’s driving force to drop to zero. The issue is limited to specific production batches.

Authorized dealers will contact affected owners directly:
Arabian Automobiles Company – Dubai, Sharjah, and Northern Emirates
Al Masaood Automobiles – Abu Dhabi and Al Ain
Dealers will reprogram the transmission control unit and perform any necessary fixes free of charge.

Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia recalled 489 Patrol 2025 models for the same defect. Owners there were urged to check their VINs via Recalls.sa and visit Petromin Nissan for free repairs.
