Jahiziyah Launches 'Ta’ahhub' to Enhance National Preparedness in Private Health Sector
Abu Dhabi: Jahiziyah, the UAE National Programme for Medical Preparedness and Response, has launched "Ta’ahhub" (Readiness), a national preparedness project for the private health sector.
The initiative aims to develop skills, build capacity and prepare leaders in medical preparedness and response. It is also designed to strengthen the readiness of private healthcare institutions and their personnel to deal with emergencies, crises and disasters in both pre-hospital and in-hospital settings.
Ta’ahhub operates within the unified national system for medical preparedness and response under Jahiziyah. The project seeks to strengthen the role of the private health sector as an active partner in national preparedness and promote coordination among medical institutions and response teams.
Dr. Adel Al-Shamri AlAjmi, CEO of Jahiziyah, said the project represents a new phase of investment in human capital. Its specialised programmes combine clinical skills development, team training and leadership preparation for medical response.
The project also provides a framework for sharing expertise, transferring knowledge and developing specialised training according to the needs of private healthcare institutions.
Ta’ahhub targets hospitals, medical centres, private clinics, ambulance and medical transport providers, home care services and field medical teams. It also includes medical, nursing, EMS, administrative and support staff, as well as leaders and professionals involved in training, quality, patient safety, risk management and business continuity.
