The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow opened with major global attention, and one of the highlights was the inspection of the UAE-manufactured Calidus B-250 aircraft by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE’s Minister of Defence. Designed and developed by Calidus Holding, an Abu Dhabi–based defence company, the B-250 represents a strategic shift toward creating advanced homegrown defence systems.
