UAE President Responds to Viral Plea: Stranded Gaza Family Returns to Abu Dhabi After 4-Month Ordeal

ABU DHABI (May 3, 2026): A Palestinian family from Gaza that had been living in limbo at a Jordanian airport for over 120 days has safely returned to the United Arab Emirates. The family, including four children born and raised in the UAE, found themselves caught between borders and unable to return to their lifelong home.

The turning point came when the youngest daughter shared an emotional video on social media addressed to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In the clip, which quickly garnered widespread international sympathy, the girl described the disorientation of the children and their deep connection to the Emirates.

Following the viral appeal, UAE authorities moved swiftly to resolve the family's status, facilitating their immediate travel back to Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival, the young girl posted a second video expressing profound relief and gratitude to the UAE leadership for bringing them back to what she called their "beloved home".
