The United Arab Emirates may experience rainfall on Saturday, October 17, 2026, as temperatures rise across the country. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast fair to partly cloudy conditions, with a possibility of rain over eastern areas.

According to the forecast reported by Khaleej Times, temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai could reach 37°C, while some parts of the UAE may experience temperatures as high as 41°C.

Rain Expected in Eastern Areas

Convective clouds may develop over eastern parts of the country during the afternoon, potentially bringing rainfall. Residents are advised to monitor official weather updates, particularly if travelling in areas where rain or changing weather conditions are expected.

Red and Yellow Fog Alerts Issued

Red and yellow weather alerts have been issued for fog formation in affected areas. Visibility may deteriorate significantly in some locations, with the possibility of further reductions at times.

Fog and mist are expected to be more likely overnight and on Sunday morning in some coastal and inland areas due to humid conditions.

Motorists should exercise caution during foggy conditions, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and follow official traffic advisories.

Winds May Strengthen at Times

Winds are expected to be light to moderate, initially blowing from the southeast before turning northwesterly. Speeds are forecast at around 10 to 25 kilometres per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 40 kilometres per hour.

As clouds develop, winds may strengthen and raise dust in some areas.

Sea Conditions Expected to Remain Calm

The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to experience slight sea conditions, according to the forecast.

Residents are encouraged to follow updates from the National Centre of Meteorology for the latest information about rainfall, fog warnings, visibility and changing weather conditions.
