A shocking accident from Rajasthan has gone viral online after a camel crashed through the roof of a moving car during a head-on collision. How the Accident Happened
According to officials and local reports, the driverâidentified as Ramsingh, a resident of Jodhpurâwas driving along the highway when a stray camel suddenly appeared in front of his vehicle. With barely any reaction time, the car slammed directly into the animal.
The impact was so powerful that the carâs bumper, bonnet, windshield, and roof were completely destroyed. The camelâs head and upper body burst through the shattered front glass and became lodged inside the cabin.
Witnesses described the scene as âterrifying,â with both the driver and the camel struggling in the wreckage.
Camel Trapped Inside for Hours
NDTV reported that the camel remained stuck inside the vehicle for several hours. A video that circulated online showed the animal trapped in a sitting position, its body pushed into the passenger area through the broken windshield. The camel appeared exhausted and frightened, repeatedly attempting to move but unable to free itself.
Locals quickly gathered around the site and tried to calm the animal while assisting the injured driver.
Driver Pulled Out by Villagers
Villagers and passersby played a crucial role in helping the driver. They broke open parts of the vehicle to reach him and offered first aid before emergency services arrived. Ramsingh reportedly suffered serious injuries, including fractures and deep cuts, and was rushed to a hospital in Jodhpur for further treatment.
Residents praised the community effort, saying that immediate response from locals helped save the driverâs life.
Rescue Teams Use JCB to Free the Camel
Freeing the camel was a more complicated task. Because the animal was wedged tightly inside the car, authorities had to bring in a JCB machine to carefully cut open the wreckage. Rescue workers worked slowly to avoid further injuring the camel.
After nearly two hours, the metal frame of the car was cut apart, creating enough space for the camel to stand and walk out.
Surprisingly, despite the severity of the crash, the animal escaped without major injuries. Witnesses said the camel quickly stood up and ran off into the nearby fields.
