Gold-Plated iPhone for Dh11,111: UAE Retailers Unveil Dazzling 11.11 Sale Deals

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a gold-plated iPhone, your chance has arrived. UAE electronics retailers are kicking off the much-anticipated 11.11 sale with their biggest deals of the year — and one of the most striking offers comes from Eros Group, which is selling a 24-karat gold-plated iPhone for just Dh11,111.

The luxury smartphone — TRA-approved and featuring authentic gold plating with custom engraving options — is being offered at a discounted price from its usual Dh12,999 tag. The offer is part of Eros Group’s broader campaign celebrating Singles’ Day, the global shopping event that originated in China and has rapidly gained traction across the Emirates.

Falling annually on November 11 (11/11), the date’s four ones have inspired brands to create exclusive price-point promotions — and this year’s edition is setting new benchmarks for creativity and consumer excitement.

Luxury Meets Symbolism

Rajat Asthana, CEO of Eros Group, said the gold-plated iPhone exemplifies both luxury and the symbolic spirit of 11.11.

“The gold-plated iPhone combines exclusivity with a price that reflects the occasion,” Asthana explained. “It’s a genuine 24-karat model customized locally, fully compliant with UAE telecommunications standards.”

Eros has themed its entire 11.11 campaign around the number one — launching offers that range from Dh11, Dh111, Dh1,111, and Dh11,111, creating a consistent numerical pattern that mirrors the iconic 11.11 branding.

“We’ve built our entire campaign around these price milestones,” Asthana added. “Shoppers can expect incredible value across gadgets, lifestyle devices, and wearables, with discounts replacing the usual freebies.”

Up to 50% Off Electronics

Not to be outdone, Jumbo Electronics is also rolling out deep discounts across categories — with price cuts of up to 50%, combined with additional savings through exclusive bank partnerships.

A Jumbo spokesperson confirmed that customers using select cards from Emirates NBD, ADIB, and Sharjah Islamic Bank can enjoy an extra 10% off during the 11.11 campaign.

“Our 11.11 deals are focused on value and flexibility,” the spokesperson said. “In addition to direct discounts, we’ve created bundle offers and special price-point deals — including Dh111 and Dh1,111 promotions — to give shoppers more options.”

Among the highlights on Jumbo.ae are 75-inch smart TVs, mirrorless camera bundles, premium home appliances, and the latest smartphones, all available at heavily reduced prices.

E-commerce Leads the Charge

While traditional retail stores are expected to remain busy, both companies see online shopping as the main growth driver this year. Jumbo projects a 50% increase in online sales compared to last year’s 11.11 event, while Eros anticipates that e-commerce will account for at least 10% of total revenue during the sale.

“We expect online to outperform physical stores this year,” the Jumbo spokesperson said. “Digital sales could contribute up to 20% of November’s total performance, supported by better logistics and payment flexibility.”

Eros, meanwhile, is focusing on delivery speed as its competitive edge. The company offers 24-hour delivery for appliances — a feature Asthana believes will be decisive as UAE shoppers demand faster, Amazon-style service.

“For many categories, price remains key, but delivery speed is the new differentiator,” he explained. “In the UAE, consumers expect quick fulfillment, especially during sale events.”

Buy Now, Pay Later Boom

Another major trend driving this year’s 11.11 shopping spree is the rise of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services such as Tamara and Tabby, which allow customers to split payments into three or four zero-interest instalments.

According to Jumbo, BNPL has transformed consumer behavior by making higher-value purchases more accessible.

“These payment options are encouraging shoppers to spend more while maintaining financial flexibility,” the company noted. “It’s now a standard feature for many UAE consumers.”

Retailers also report that customers are becoming more strategic — browsing early, comparing prices, and building wish lists well before the sale begins.

“UAE shoppers are informed and digitally savvy,” Jumbo’s spokesperson added. “Most will start researching a week before 11.11 and make their purchases as soon as the offers go live.”

A New Era of Smart Shopping

The 11.11 sale, once a China-only event, has now become a global shopping festival that defines the November retail calendar. In the UAE, it marks the unofficial start of the year-end shopping season, with major brands competing to deliver the most eye-catching promotions.

From Dh11 accessories to a gold-plated iPhone worth Dh11,111, this year’s deals prove that UAE shoppers love luxury, value, and symbolism in equal measure.

With lightning-fast deliveries, flexible payment plans, and online platforms leading the charge, the 2025 11.11 sale is shaping up to be the biggest yet — both in scale and sparkle.
