Trump claims US has ‘militarily defeated’ Iran during King Charles state visit

US President Donald Trump made a bold statement during a White House state dinner for King Charles III, claiming that the United States has “militarily defeated” Iran. The remark came amid ongoing tensions and conflict in the Middle East.

Trump emphasized what he described as strong US military actions against Iranian targets, suggesting that Iran is in a weakened position. He also reiterated his stance that Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, stating that King Charles “agrees” with this position—although the British monarch did not publicly comment on Iran during his speeches.

The comments were made during a high-profile state visit marking strong US–UK relations, where both leaders focused on diplomacy, defense cooperation, and global security issues. King Charles, in his official address, avoided direct political statements about Iran and instead stressed unity, NATO alliances, and democratic values.

Despite Trump’s claim of “military victory,” the broader situation remains complex. Recent reports indicate ongoing tensions, naval blockades, and fragile ceasefire arrangements between the US and Iran, suggesting that the conflict is far from fully resolved.
